↳NOWNESS Picks : “Exploring the ancestral, traditional, cultural and spiritual ties that exist beyond the boundaries of the material dimensions, this art film visualises the transient spirits that have come before us, watch over us, guide us, and protect us.

”V&A : “anaiis presents spirit moves, a film directed by CHILD. The characters in the film reference spiritual elements of both Senegalese and Afro-Brazilian traditions, commemorating their interconnectivity within the Black diaspora, tracing back anaiis’ travelled upbringing and inspirations. The film is accompanied by an original score reimagined from anaiis’ upcoming debut album, this is no longer a dream, and a poem by Julianknxx.

”Boiler Room 4:3 : “United through movement and ritual, anaiis’ guides are summoned into a meditative ceremony as an ode to the mystical powers that lead her path.”
